The Doctoral Program in Natural Resources Sciences at the Universidad de La Frontera opens the call for its Admission 2026, inviting Chileans and foreigners to be part of this high-level academic program.
With 24 years of experience and a solid accreditation of 8 years by the CNA, our program is positioned as one of the most important in Chile. Moreover, it is internationally recognized by the AQAS agency with an International Certification in Europe.
Admission Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s, professional degree or master’s of science degree in disciplines related to natural resource sciences, such as biology, chemistry, agriculture, forestry, biotechnology and other related sciences.

3. Undergraduate graduation ranking certificate, signed by a competent authority.
4. Curriculum Vitae (complete admission form).
5. Letter of application addressed to the Program Director, specifying your line of interest for research. This document must explain the grounds on which the application is based. Include objective of the study, statement of interests, applicant’s contribution to the country. Free format.
6. Professional and Academic Experience Document specifying your teaching, research and postgraduate background if you have any.. Download format here.

Evaluation
The evaluation consists of two stages:
1. Pre-selection: This stage consists of the evaluation of the background and is carried out by the Academic Committee of the program. The applicant’s background is analyzed according to the Program’s Evaluation Guideline.
After this, and within a period of no more than 15 days from the closing date of the applications, the applicants are informed of the admissibility or rejection of their background.
The pre-selected applicants continue to the second stage.
2. Interviews: The pre-selected applicants present their Research Proposal to the Academic Committee in order to learn more about their academic/scientific interests and study possibilities.
