National Agency for Research and Development - ANID

The National Doctorate Scholarship aims to financially support doctoral studies in all areas of knowledge, in programs accredited in accordance with Law No. 20.129 and taught by Chilean universities.

This scholarship provides funding for tuition and/or fees and a living allowance for the scholarship holder. It also provides the possibility of applying for complementary benefits for operational expenses, co-supervision and internships abroad, and maintenance for the extension of the doctoral thesis writing.

Beca International Union of Soil Science (IUSS)

The IUSS Scholarship provides €5,000 in funding to support the collection, analysis, and synthesis of evidence demonstrating the contribution of soil sciences to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), within the framework of the Decade of Soil Science for Sustainable Development 2025–2034. It is aimed at members of national soil science societies affiliated with the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS).

The Neale Silva Scholarship is specifically intended for Chilean citizens who wish to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison for up to two years at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The scholarship was created by Professor Eduardo Neale Silva, who forged a permanent and special bond between his native Chile and his adopted educational homeland, the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This scholarship specifies that recipients must:

Engage in the practical fields of science and technology.
Return to work in Chile to benefit the country.

Call addressed to developing countries to carry out a Full Doctorate in Brazil.

The objectives and guidelines of this call are:

  • Collaborate with developing countries in the training of human resources for research.
  • To promote scientific and technological development in selected areas.
  • Promote the internationalization of Brazilian research centers and universities.
  • Encourage cooperation between foreign researchers and the establishment of research networks.
  • Promote educational, popularization and scientific dissemination actions for different types of audiences, reaching broad sectors of society, in partnership with specialists, groups and institutions working in the areas of formal and non-formal education (e.g. schools, extension centers, museums, science centers, zoos, botanical gardens, aquariums…).

The Vice Rector’s Office for Research and Graduate Studies of Universidad de La Frontera, through the Academic Directorate of Graduate Studies and the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer, are pleased to inform that the Financial Support Program for R&D Internships in Industry and the Public Sector 2024 is now available.

This program seeks to promote the rapprochement, collaboration and deepening of knowledge between UFRO graduate students and public and/or private institutions in the areas of research, development and innovation.

The call aims to select up to 500 (five hundred) students linked to foreign higher education and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, with up to 300 scholarship holders in the Master Sandwich modality and 200 (two hundred) scholarship holders in the Doctorate Sandwich modality. Modality to carry out internships, research, extension courses or even subjects in Graduate Programs in Brazilian Universities, Federal Institutes of Research Institutes, in areas related to their area of activity.”

The Directorate of International Cooperation together with the Academic Directorate of Graduate Studies and the French Institute of Chile, propose to graduate students of the Universidad de La Frontera, a scholarship for a research internship for a duration of two to six months, to be held before June 30, 2025, in France.

Con el objetivo de apoyar a los líderes emergentes, las becas Programa de las Américas (ELAP) proporciona a los estudiantes e investigadores de América Latina y el Caribe las oportunidades de intercambios a corto plazo para el estudio o la investigación en los niveles universitarios, de grado y postgrado.

  • Exención de arancel en universidad canadiense con convenio
  • Monto único de $7.200 CAN para gastos de alumnos de pregrado por gastos en un periodo de cuatro meses (un semestre) para realizar estudios (los cuales serán entregados por el Gobierno Canadiense cuando el/la estudiante se encuentre en el país*)

The Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) supports research collaborations between Canada and select partner organizations and eligible countries and regions.

Under the joint supervision of a local and host faculty member, senior undergraduate students, graduate students and successful postdoctoral fellows will receive a $6,000 research grant to conduct a 12-24 week research project in the other country. Awards are offered in partnership with Mitacs’ Canadian academic partners (and, in some cases, Mitacs’ international partners) and are subject to available funding.
