The Doctorate in Natural Resources Sciences is a multidisciplinary Science Program with a strong component towards technology and that is why the departments of Chemical Sciences and Natural Resources, Chemical Engineering, and Agricultural Production come together.

This Program seeks to train graduates with the ability to function in an academic and non-academic world in interface areas between food production, agri-food biotechnology, energy, and bioprocesses for the development of sustainable agriculture and food security. We mainly emphasize chemical and biological mechanisms that allow us to generate innovative models to obtain new products derived from Natural Resources.
